The difference between quick and fast is not easy to grasp. Therefore, you see quick and fast as two words that are often confused in their usage. Strictly speaking, there are some differences between quick and fast in their meaning. According to the dictionary, the word “quick” means doing something in a short time. On the other hand, the word “fast” means moving or capable of moving at high speeds. This is a very important difference between the two words.

What does quick mean in drag racing?

In drag racing, “quick” relates to the elapsed time it takes a vehicle to get from the starting line to the finish line.

What does fast mean in drag racing?

In drag racing, “fast” relates to the speed or MPH/KMH a vehicle reaches getting to the finish line.

When speaking in terms of records, QUICKEST means the vehicle which has the lower elapsed time or ET, and FASTEST means the vehicle which has the highest top speed or MPH/KMH.
